Created 2005-07-11 by Rainer Gerhards I have an Limited User account under Windows XP and experience problems with AliveMon. AliveMon is a tool that requires certain privileges. Under Windows XP, Limited Users do not have sufficient permissions for many of these function calls, so AliveMon can unfortunately not operate correctly. To solve this issue, make the user a normal one. If you can not do this or do not want to do it, you can try to hand-tune your permission settings to make AliveMon working. To be honest, we do not have a guide for this because no customer ever really wanted to explore that option.
